NBC Connecticut is reporting that Sandy Hook Elementary school is seeking a waiver from required standardized testing that is generally used by the Department of Education to distribute funding.
The News-Times of Danbury reports that board members decided the trauma suffered by students and staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School warranted the one-time waiver request.
At the same time, as reported by KEYC Fox in Mankato,
Residents from Newtown, Conn., are joining a march on Washington for gun control on Saturday with parents, pastors, survivors of gun violence and Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
The group One Million Moms for Gun Control, the Washington National Cathedral and two other churches are co-sponsoring the march.
This is hypocritical on so many levels. Are they asking to be “excused” from testing to be able to make the Million Mom (actually less than half-a-million) march? How are the “traumatized” children going to feel marching through the streets chanting, “Remember all the kids killed at Sandy Hook!” Or watching their teachers on television?
Some churches across the country risk severe tax penalties and other “government” action if they dare teach the truth about the Bible from the pulpit—such as abortion is murder, homosexuality is a sin, and sex out of wedlock is a sin. They are in special danger if they mention the name of a candidate or state that the Constitution is the law of the land.
Yet here is the Washington National Cathedral and “two other churches” marching to destroy the Constitution of the United States.
Whatever happened to separation of Church and State? Guess T.J. only meant that to apply when when a real American is in office.
